Indoor Public Swimming Pool

Would you like a public pool in northeast Burnaby? You are not alone. We think that a public pool would bring many benfits to our community.

  • Youth are always looking for something to do—what a great place to get together with your friends!
  • Seniors would like a place that is close to home to exercise and relax.
  • You could swim laps after work, take the kids to swimming lessons—and have only a 5 or 10 minute drive to get there!
  • Once operating, this would provide many employment opportunities for people living in Northeast Burnaby.
  • A long-term investment in our community.

If you would like to get involved, or find out more please email informed@nebca.org.

A New Daycare Facility in Stoney Creek Community School

At this time the YMCA manages a day care in a portable behind Stoney Creek Community School. There are plans to include a new, larger centre with the planned expansion of the school. The tentative completion date will be sometime in 2002. The fundraising process is starting right now. NEBCA has committed to raising money for this much-needed daycare center. If you would like to get involved, or find out more please email informed@nebca.org.
