FunRec Day Camps

Fun Rec is a summer recreation program that is offered to the children in this community since 1982. The association has kept the cost of registration well below the cost of running this fun packed program so that everyone in our community can attend summer camp.

With this day camp we aim to help develop social and physical skills in the children who attend such as sports, crafts, music and drama for all children between the ages of 5 (having completed kindergarten) to 13 (having just completed grade 7) years of age, with emphasis on fun and safe.

The program begins in July, right after the school year. It runs for 6 consecutive weeks, Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Home base is Stoney Creek Community School where we have the use of 4 classrooms, the Community Room, a gym, a kitchen and the playground. We offer one all day field trip each week, and one or two other local outings.

Registration will be anounced soon and is ongoing through the end of the school year. Space allowing, you can also register your children during camp time.

Brochures will be available at Stoney Creek community school May/June, 2008. Brochures are also delivered to some schools (where schools allow).

*Splashdown Park Field Trip. Splashdown Park is always an amazing field trip, but the cost of admission is 50% more than any other field trip, and the bus trip is 25% more expensive, so we must charge a little more.
